Thick Warm Crocheted Winter Hat

I'm giving this 4 rather than 5 stars because it is, to me, not hard, but TEDIOUS! I've been sewing and embroidering since I was little (taught by Mother and her mother), crocheting since I was little (taught by Daddy's mother), learned to knit when I was 28 or so (self-taught). I became high partial legally blind October 2003 at age 59. Glad I can still use yarn! I crochet much better and faster than I knit, but this is ONE pattern which would be faster to knit, even though I DO plan to make another (I'm almost finished with my first, using white Caron Simply Soft.) The next will be for ME, partly because of the effort involved! LOL! Crocheting this, with the post stitches, it could probably be worn wrong-side out because the WS looks pretty good. Also, and this is a plus for any who live in colder climes than my central Alabama - it is almost double thickness! I've learned to look for patterns by certain designers, and Lisa, you are one that I look for! Thanks! http://blindedbyinsight.blogspot.com
