I am not a grandmother yet but have a great niece that needs Love Knot Symphony dress.. she is just too cute to live without it. I am having trouble with panel a back Row 1.

which version of this pattern do you have and exactly what are your having problems with

Panel A Back
Row 1 (RS): Rep Row 2 of Strap A, at end ch 10 (10, 13, 13, 13).

These are the instructions that I have for Panel A Back, Row 1. What it is telling you to do is to do the same thing that you did for Panel A - Strap A which is:

Row 2: Turn; ch 1, ch2lp in first ch-2 sp and in each of next 2 ch-2 sps.

So what you are doing is continuing with the back panel, but now you are going beyond the strap to make the yoke portion of panel A. After you "Turn; ch 1, ch2lp in first ch-2 sp and in each of next 2 ch-2 sps", you will chain what ever number of chains is listed for your size. These chains will be worked into the next row and will make up the back panel. It is a clever way to add stitches to the piece without having to sew them on.
