I am having difficulty with Layer 1, Row 1 (page 4 of the pattern). I am making it in size 3 months. I keep ending up with 23 split shells, but only 22 anchors. I have taken the row out many times. Do I need to increase the number of single crochets in the previous row? It is currently 67 as per the pattern.
