Sunflower and Daisy Halter Pattern
This sunflower and daises halter top was not only designed by me, but also handmade by me. I loved designing this little top so much I knew I had to offer it as a handmade piece for all the little pretty flowers in the world! This sunflower and daisies kids halter top shirt will be the star flower in her wardrobe - grown and picked from the Crochet Garden especially for her! I will make sure your top is made to perfection with care and quality of utmost importance as my design intended. This little kids halter top is made with 100% cotton, keeping them cool and comfy for the entire day. Perfect for a sunflower photoshoot to boho vibes, to hippie parties and a groovy first birthday, it will have your darling turning all the heads, everyone wondering wherever did you find such a top! It has a tie around neck and a tie in the back for easy on and off and a good customized fit. With so many colors and sizes, all the kids can each have their favorite color and own place in the flower garden :)
I will be taking great care in making your halter. The wonderful lady (grandmama) who taught me to crochet as a child, also instilled a great work ethic in me. When she taught me to crochet, if there was even only one error, I had to rip it out, even if the error was all the way back on the very first stitch. It was hard love, but as a master craftster and seamstress, she wanted to build me up with a great foundation. Ladies of that time took great pride in their workmanship, as do I. This is the care I will be taking with your halter. I want you to get wonderful use out of it, and know that it was professionally made by someone who truly cares what you think. If my grandmother were to pass you by, I know she would inspect it and give a partial smile with an affirmative simple nod that says "this is good craftsman work."
♥SIZES♥
Order based on child's chest circumference, even if it does not match the age range. If chest circumference is not available, then order based on age. If their age overlaps two sizes, use best judgement based on whether they are a smaller or higher percentile for their age. Measure all around at fullest part of the chest below the underarms. Do not be worried if your child's street clothes sizes does not match the size guide below. This chart is based on the fabric characteristics of crochet cotton and the particular stitches and design crochet elements, and not on clothing fabric, so it may be different for your child. Please note: The halter sides will fall anywhere from her sides to middle of the back- ties in back will keep it cinched against her.
3-12 mos to fit chest circumference (15" - 17")
12 mos - 2T to fit chest circumference (17" - 20")
3T - 4 to fit chest circumference (20" - 22")
4/5 - 5/6 to fit chest circumference (22" - 24")
7/8 - 9/10 to fit chest circumference (24" - 27")

A tinkerer of the mind, even as a child I always had explosions of ideas, wanting to create. An intrinsic love for color, fabric working with my hands and ironically mathematics naturally turned into a career of designing crochet patterns. This path has lead to creations from the depths of my imagination, and along the way from receiving design awards, to a multitude of publications in books and magazines, to freelancing tech editing for magazines.
