Corn Crib Afghan

$4.50

I worked this in some pink worsted Red Heart using a size H hook and it turned out great. Yes, there are "holes" in the stitches, but it is not a "lacey" blanket. "Nubby" would be a good description as the stich patterns gives the blanket some texture. With the worsted-weight yarn, I got a heavy blanket that would keep any child toasty warm. I suppose if you didn't like the size of the holes you could do fewer chains in the stitch pattern, but I personally like the holes as my third derives great comfort from being able to stick her fingers in the holes in her favorite blankie and thus I believe every baby afghan should have little holes for fingers.
